Privacy notice
jerseytaxappeals.com is operated by Maslin Law LLC, 2 Mary Court, Berkeley Heights, NJ 07922. This notice explains what the site collects and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Your reference code. When you enter the code from our letter, the site uses it to look up the property record we prepared for you. Our mailing list was built from public records: your town's published assessment roll and the deed recorded when you bought.
- Property details you type in. If you enter your own address, assessment and purchase price instead of a code, those figures are used only to calculate the estimate shown to you.
- Names and email addresses for signing. When you choose to sign the engagement agreement online, we collect the name and email address of each owner so the agreement can be sent for electronic signature. The agreement itself asks each signer for a telephone number.
- Corrections you make. If you correct the owner of record, mailing address or purchase details before signing, those corrections go into your agreement.
How we use it
To show you your estimate, prepare and send your engagement agreement, and, if you sign, to represent you in your appeal. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with marketers.
Who processes it for us
- DocuSeal provides the electronic-signature service and holds the signed agreement.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and the signing request service.
Each processes information only to provide its service to us. The site makes no other third-party requests; its typefaces are served from this site.
What stays in your browser
The site remembers the last reference code you entered so the page reopens to your estimate. That is stored only in your browser and is not sent anywhere. The site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and uses no tracking.
Retention
Estimate records for this mailing are kept until the 2027 appeal season ends and then removed from the site. If you sign, your agreement and file are kept as the Rules of Professional Conduct require for client files.
Your choices
You can ask us to remove your record from the site, correct it, or tell us not to contact you again. Email taxappeals@maslinlaw.com or call (908) 738-9941.
Using this site
An estimate is not a guarantee; the County Board of Taxation decides each appeal on its own facts. Using this site does not create an attorney-client relationship. The engagement begins when the agreement is signed by the owners of record and accepted by the firm.
